I'm wondering in their sole focus on 360. Not to beatch or complain, but Ghostbusters graphic comparisons had me thinking of the best strategy in handling multi-platform games. L4D, being a new IP, would rake in loads of cash for EA on the PS3. I think Left4Dead, Gears II and Fable II were the reasons 360 dominated last years holiday season. Sheikh Yerbouti 5049d ago (Edited 5049d ago )Įvery PS3 owner should be suspect of ports, especially after Ghostbusters and the Orange Box, but this is a good idea. This confirms that it's REAL!!!!!! It's coming to PS3, they just had to take it down because it wasn't supposed to be announced yet for PS3" lol. Joking aside, I'm waiting for the morons that disagree to start pouring in saying "Oh no, this doesn't confirm a typo. And if you can find it, by all means, don't just disagree but rather show me where. Let's put this one to rest now guys.Įdit: LOL what's the disagree for? What, you think I lied and I really do care about this game? lol Or is it that you disagree that it isn't listed for PS3 anymore? No really, go look, no more mention of L4D2 on PS3, I promise. I'd say that all but confirms just a typo or error of some sort. Can't find a single mention of L4D2 on PS3 anywhere on there. On the upcoming PS3 games it's also been removed.
JOYSTICK MAPPER PS3 LEFT 4 DEAD 2 PC
L4D2 now only has Xbox360, PC, and PC Download as available platforms. I don't know if anyone has noticed this or not, but check the EA site again. Now that being said, let me point something out for all you flip-floppers and sh*t-talkers. I could care less about this game even if it was coming to PS3. Well it was nice talking to you I have to save my last bubble for this room after this is cleared up. And it’s really because of Steam and Xbox LIVE that we can make L4D." If you think about it, ten years ago we could have made L4D, but you wouldn’t have been able to hook up to your friends and it just wouldn’t have gained online as it did. And Xbox LIVE just makes it an easy thing to do. It’s just the platform that lends itself to it. That’s definitely what we’re going to do. : Do you think L4D will ever come to a PlayStation console?ĬF: Right now it’s PC and 360.
I know they’re supposed to be big, bad and evil but that’s not the side we see of them. This is a really good relationship and they’re really supportive, they’ve been really helpful, super great. I thought we’d have to put it on easy for you guys. I didn’t have to give them any instruction. Talking with those guys, their marketing guys, they’re like, oh we play every Friday. And actually we had had them out to come take a look at L4D2 before the announcement and everything. I think it had little to do with actual work, they just wanted to play. Then they saw it last year and they just started coming to our offices to play. Microsoft didn’t know about L4D at first. B) it’s the platform we think lends itself to the interaction of our game the best. Was there ever any thought about doing a PS3 version? Did it even cross anyone’s mind?ĬF: If it crossed someone’s mind it wasn’t the focus. Thats a place holder even PS3 fanboys make them all the time. YOU CAN GOOGLE THE QUOTES THERE WILL MOST LIKELY BE 4 OR 5 RELATED ARTICLES/SOURCES. Why would the devs lie about this during E3 and the 3 weeks after the show not announcing it for PS3 when they own the IP? This L4D 2(Left 4 Dead 2) info is either a typo or very a shaddy way of dealing with this game. Sometimes I think rumor-mongers make stuff up and just hope some of their ideas stick. "There is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in production," was Lombardi's comment on the rumor. We're doing the 360 and PC version ourselves." We just have to figure out where the resources can come from. They're interested in getting a PS3 version done. " Speaking to 1up, Newell stated, "For The Orange Box, EA did the PS3 version. They said its exclusive to Microsoft's platforms for the last 3 weeks. The devs never talked about a decision to do the 360 and PC versions and then let EA port L4D 2 to the PS3. What they did with Orange Box doesn't mean there is some sort of contract with all games in the future. They were also suppose to do Left 4 Dead.
Because valve made the decision for a PS3 version and gave the green light for EA to develope it because they showed interest in taking on the project.
